I was raised by my mom in a broken home. I ran away when I was 15 and got involved in a bunch of bad news, drugs, and alcohol but about a year later Jesus changed my life in a big way. My friend took me to church with him and suddenly it seemed like the pastor was speaking English, the words he spoke were alive and made sense! Since then, He has inspired and compelled me to love people the way He loves them, and I’ve realized that the whole point of my life is to point a younger generation towards Him!

So, 24 years ago I married my wife Katie and she has been the perfect partner, best friend and everything I could have ever wanted in both. I know that God brought us together and everyday I grow more proud of her and love her even more. Together we started Teen Mania Ministries 22 years ago out of an old hatchback and since then we have been blessed to see it grow to be one of the largest teen missions and evangelism organizations in the world. Every year we get to partner with thousands of churches and hundreds of thousands of teens from all across the country through our Acquire The Fire youth events and get to see thousands of teens go on missions all over the world through Global Expeditions. Every year, The Honor Academy has hundreds of teens come to our campus in Garden Valley, TX for a year long internship where they learn about leadership and character development and get to be a part of reaching their generation for Christ.

I have 2 daughters who are just a year and a half apart: Hannah and Charity, who are both in college and really pursuing what God has planned for them. My youngest- my son Cameron- is 13, plays the drums like a crazy teenager, and loves to travel with me. Honestly, my life is a testimony to the fact that when God gives a dream and the tools to pull it off, He will bless it! I didn’t want to start a ministry; I just wanted to preach and get young people saved and go on mission trips around the world. I couldn’t have done any of this on my own so all the glory and repute and kudos and everything go to Him.
